Yeah, I couldn't find where Video-Cellar said anything about
Frankenstein Meets the Spacemonster. I couldn't find a renewal notice at USCO. I believe they still had to file one for movies made in 1965 to keep the film under copyright.

"Works originally copyrighted between January 1, 1964, and
December 31, 1977: The amendment to the copyright law enacted
June 26, 1992, makes renewal registration optional. The
copyright is still divided between a 28-year original term and a
67-year renewal term, but a renewal registration is not required
to secure the renewal copyright. The renewal vests on behalf of
the appropriate renewal claimant upon registration or, if there
is no renewal registration, on December 31 of the 28th year.

It was fun seeing that film in a drive-in, back in the 60s. I remember the blue plastic "cobalt blast glasses" they handed out at the ticket booth, to "protect your eyes from the blasts" during the movie. I think there was a buzzer or bell or something that went off as a warning right before each blast...lol.
EDIT: I should add that, when the DVD of "Frank meets the Space Monster" came out a few years back, naturally I bought a copy. At full price, yet. To this day I can't get through the movie on DVD fer nothin'! I'd much rather watch Beast of Yucca Flats or In the Year 2889 for the umpteenth time. 8)
